Why:
Marvin Yarosh and Jack Wiles were pioneers in mechanical engineering on the Space Coast. Mr. Yarosh was a founding member of the local American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers and was the first Assistant Director for the Florida Solar Energy Center. Mr. Wiles was an inspiration to all who knew him, serving as a charter member of the local ASME Chapter and playing a critical role in forming the Canaveral Council of Technical Societies.
In honor of these two outstanding engineers, the local ASHRAE and ASME Chapters have teamed together to create an endowed scholarship at the Florida Institute of Technology’s Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department. This event is a fundraiser to help us reach our goal of $25,000.
