Mr. Will Corry, Vice President International for Lightstep Technologies, has been involved with leading edge technology companies for many years, bringing some highly recognisable products to the world stage, including teams which brought us the Federal Express Tracker Terminal, POS Terminals and BarCode Scanning, Optical Character Recognition card readers for credit cards and checks and much more. Mr. Corry specializes in fast track International Marketing and corporate development and has worked with some of the top US based technology companies to take embryonic products over the line and onto worldwide availability. Always motivated by the challenges inherent in these situations, Mr. Corry immediately recognised in Lightstep, the solution to a worldwide problem. Having harboured concerns as to the lack of focus on egress from danger in any type of structure, he was amazed that, with all of the technical capability available to industry, even after 9/11, there was still a blind dependence on unintelligent signage as the only real means of guidance to people in a highly stressed and dangerous environment. He will talk about dumb versus intelligent evacuation technology and designing safer buildings as opposed to elegant death traps. Mr. Corry has been a Fellow of the (British) Institute of Directors for several years.
